I've posted the prologue for In The Shadows, up on FF.net. It won't be up on AO3 or MBTB until I've sorted a couple of chapters out. I've got a busy month in September and I don't want to commit to a story over three sites if I'm not going to have time to update it.
If you've read the X99 Jewellery Blog, you'll know that I'm having a huge sale on Etsy all through September, so that I'll have space once I get the jewellery designing bug again. The promo says the sale is for the Sweet Tooth collection, however bar my latest collection (The Metallics) I'm extending this to everything I possibly can.
So if there is anything you've had your eye on, now might be the last chance you have to get it!
I'm really hoping to push through this darkness that's been hanging around and it might all come crashing down around me, but at least I'll have made someone happy with something that I've created. Because that is the best feeling in the world.

Coming soon...
I'm currently working on the sequel to In The Dark. Here's a sneak preview of the cover, so you'll have an idea of what's in store!
It's called In The Shadows and Star must somehow convince everyone - including the newly resurrected David - that she is not the threat they all think she is.
That's all I can give you for now, as it's still a work-in-progress and anything I might tell you could change between now and it being ready.

In The Dark - Prologue
In The Dark
by Chailyn Kamaria
Rating: Teen/Mature
Characters: David, Dwayne, Greg, Laddie, Marko, Max, Michael Emerson, Paul, Star
Genres: Angst, Supernatural
Pairings: David/Star
Warnings: Character Death, Mild Violence, Other Potential Disturbing Content, Profanity
Chapters: 11
Completed: Yes
A twisted retelling of The Lost Boys; Star is a full initiate in danger of turning feral, while Max plays a deadly game with the lives of the boys hanging in the balance. If David wants to hold onto Star and his pack, he must play along at all costs.
Disclaimer:
I own absolutely nothing! Zip, nada. I don't think I even own the thoughts in my head. The Lost Boys belong to WB, no matter how much I may wish otherwise. I am making NO profit from this story whatsoever, unless you count the happiness I get every time someone reads it.
So yeah, sorry, I'm a Star Defender. ;)
Never saw what she saw in Michael, but I always kind of sympathised with her, however much I loved the Boys. Star constantly receives the wrath of the fanfic author, so this is my attempt to round out her character and give her a reason for doing the things she did.
This story is by no means perfect, but I love feedback and constructive criticism is always welcome. :)

Prologue
"They'll be coming for Laddie and me, won't they?" Star felt a jolt of panic as she realised she'd said those words out loud.
"They'll be coming for all of us." Michael replied, absently looking out of the window.
5 Hours Later:
"Maybe he's not dead."
"What?"
"Well it wasn't wood and I don't think it pierced his heart..."
"Star..."
"We need to help him."
"Star he's gone."
"No! He's not gone, he wouldn't leave me."
"Star, it's okay-"
"-No it's not okay. I'm sorry, David, I'm so sorry..."
