Berry Crumble

I've just made the most delicious berry crumble from scraping a load of stuff from my kitchen together.

Berry Crumble

I bought some blackberries on a flash sale and decided to make one of my favourite desserts - Apple and Blackberry Crumble.  This is childhood in a bowl for me, as I used pick the blackberries from my Gran's garden and the apples that fell into her garden from her neighbour's tree and we'd make this pudding every summer.  I no longer have a garden where I can pick berries, so I have to buy them. :(
I also bought some fruit salad packs, as I like to have fruit with my breakfast.  So along with blackberries and apples there's also blueberries, raspberries and strawberries.  Now I haven't done any baking for a while, as I hate cooking in the hot weather.  So I couldn't find any butter to use in the crumble topping.  Instead I used some brandy butter that I had left over from Christmas!  Hey, don't judge me - it tasted perfectly fine!

Finally found a use for those Gü ramekins!

Once I'd put everything in the ramekins, I placed them on a baking tray and stuck them in the oven for 10mins at 160°C (fan).
It was absolutely yummy for something I just threw together for a quick dessert.

Crumbly goodness!

Mmm, just look at that crumbly goodness!

=:x
