Frozen or Where Have You Been?

I meant to post this last Tuesday, however I've been busy with my other blogs and Christmas preparedness - which is weird in and of itself as my Mom and I rarely make a fuss of it, leading to some really fun and relaxing holiday seasons!  This month Mom has been on a roll winning competitions (nothing she considers big, like a car or a holiday or money - in fact we've probably had to spend more money just so we could enjoy them!) and recently won over £60 worth of makeup from Boots from raffle ticket she bought for £1!  Last Monday however, we got to go to London, as she'd won tickets to attend the Frozen Sing-a-long at the Royal Albert Hall.

Here we are, minutes before the show started.

I hadn't seen it before as my head has been elsewhere other than the latest Disney musical - so it was a very weird experience to be watching for the first time surrounded by so many die-hard fans, and not all of them were kids!

Many came dressed as their favourite characters, so my crystal studded cat ears and bright teal hair didn't seem so out of place.  I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked.  One because it was quite late at night and I'm not so good at taking nighttime photos and also because I was pretty overwhelmed by the whole experience as it was my first real outing in over a year that wasn't a doctors appointment.
I will admit to having a panic attack about 30mins into the movie and I was quite proud of myself that I rode it out instead of running out like I wanted.  That was mainly because I have two security blankets in a panic attack - one that was sitting right next to me (my Mom) and the other which was about five minutes away by taxi (the car) - and being alone in a strange place without either of those securities would have made the attack 10x worse.  I'm sure if I'd asked, Mom would have come out with me, but it was her treat too and I didn't want to spoil it for her, so my logical brain decided it was best to wait it out.
Thankfully there was a gingerbread muffin and cookie to calm me down on the way home, and I can't tell you how relieved I felt when I saw the sign for The North, driving back - Londoners freak me out!  Still, it's another memory to add to my bank of happy thoughts...

Once I got home, I was inspired to make this jewellery set...

You can read more about it and see more photos on the X99 Jewellery Blog.

I'll be updating again sometime soon with my handmade tree decorations and the new jewellery I've been making, but until then...

=:x

P.S. - I've added a new page with links to my other blogs, should you wish to investigate them.
